PROTOTYPING
While constructing the stool and decided to use liquid nails in the ply wood case and with the legs to provide much more resistance. Along with the glue i screwed the legs and used a silicon based glue to attach the foam cushion to the base.
Design Refinement
I develop the connections of the legs better and realize the bottom plywood ring would be difficult to achieve and may also take up to much stool space.
Design Refinement
Along with developing the details i also begin to try different methods of how the stool can be assembled
Design Refinement
In begin to visualize the connections with the each part and develop a better understanding of the limitations of my design. This sketch displays how i should insert the plywood case and how i can insert another case through the legs
Modelling
I began to model the stool in solidworks and discovered small details that could improve the appearance of the stool. For example in the rendered image to the right the legs are visible through the outer plywood casing and the legs also have an additional plywood case going through the middle creating an interesting form
PROTOTYPING
I begin testing the flexibility of the ply wood and observe how i can use the material wisely without breaking it.
